About

Hi there! I’m Nathalie Torres (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker focused on treating OCD, emetophobia, and anxiety. As someone with lived experience with anxiety and OCD, making the choice to become a therapist felt like a natural path.

I began my journey at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and graduated in 2017 with my bachelor’s in human development and psychology. During my undergrad years, I was eager to build a strong foundation as a future clinician and dove into working in research and volunteering at a psychiatric hospital.

My professional experiences then led the way to obtaining my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2019. While at USC, I continued my research involvement and most excitedly, earned a competitive internship at Harbor UCLA’s Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic. There, I was extensively trained in a variety of therapies and was honored to be offered a position upon graduating from USC. While employed at Harbor UCLA I had the rewarding experience of supervising graduate students and co-lecturing in ACT and DBT seminars. I later completed specialized training in ERP through UPenn, which solidified my commitment to helping people navigate OCD and anxiety. And since then, my value of ongoing learning has not faltered as I continue attending trainings and consultation groups.

When I am not in session, you might find me cooking up a new recipe, trying out a new restaurant, at a concert, reading fantasy books, or spending quality time with my loved ones and dogs. In session, you may even see a special appearance made by my lovely dogs Layla and Pepe.

Our Values

Thrive, Not Just Survive

Whether you’re a young professional navigating the working world, a student balancing academic pressures with OCD, emetophobia, and anxiety, or someone simply trying to find peace in a chaotic world, know this: Your experiences are valid.

In our work together, we won’t just focus on alleviating symptoms. We’ll dig deep, examining the roots of your challenges, celebrating your personal strengths, and building a toolkit that empowers you long after our sessions end.

This is more than therapy. It’s a partnership in your journey towards authenticity, resilience, and joy.
